How Does It Work?

The laser works through several mechanisms. When targeting redness and dilated blood vessels, the laser targets the red color to selectively heat just the affected vessel and leave normal skin untouched. When used for rejuvenation, the infrared 1064 handpiece precisely warms the skin to generate collagen remodeling, skin tightening, and improvement in redness/scars. 

The Treatment Process

Getting treatment from an Excel V Laser takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Following that, the patient may see a bit of redness or swelling, which will subside over several days. Most minor erythema diminishes about 48-72 hours of treatment. Treatment is well tolerated and results speak for themselves!

Most treatments require multiple sessions for optimum results, although some improvement is often seen immediately. Often, patients require two to six weeks between treatments to see the improvement after the skin turns over.

What To Do After Treatment

After treatment, it’s best to avoid any intense activity related to the affected part. For example, if you had Excel V treatment for your leg veins, then you should avoid strenuous activities for around 48 hours. We also recommend wearing compression stockings to protect the skin and help the blood flow as it recovers.
